Went to see how the painting was going after the markets closed ... first let me say, it is an absolute STUNNER of a day. Sandpoint at its finest....
In any event ... there is nothing like the smell of fresh paint ... I'm more in love now with Moonlight White than before - particualry with all the natural light. Painters are great guys and think it is far better them than me painting the ~40 foot ceilings and walls as "height .. you are no friend of mine" Not such a fan. Space Needle, Eiffel Tower, Petronas Towers, any skyscraper in NYC ... just not so much....
Afterwards, walked around the Sandpoint beach (there were people swimming in the lake - something about the snow still up in the mountains and the cold temps thus far just screamed YOU MUST BE INSANE) and had a good stretch of a walk... people were getting their boats ready - perhaps the most gorgeous day of the year here and it happily coincides with the first full day of Summer!
Went and grabbed a cold Kokanee and ordered the Aglio pizza (goat geese, roasted garlic, capers - all fire roasted) from Loading Dock -- sat in the sun, read the local paper and listened to some of the locals at the other picnic bench talk about Fox News, Newt Gingrich's campaign (failure that it is thus far) and so on... it's quite fascinating really to just exist and listen....
Said evidence of lunch (which will also now be dinner and likely breakfast ... )
Best news of the day (other than the pizza place is a walk across the bridge from the new place) is that one of my best friends is now going to be in San Francisco this weekend!! Yayr! It put a big smile on my face and cannot wait to get down there for my day of beauty on Friday followed by all the key Ws (wine, water...) over the weekend.
It's time to go be like a cat and stretch out in the sun and take a nap before the night session start for the markets.... Until then ...
