Blue bird powder day ....

This posting comes from the lovely GEG airport (leaving the snow for a few days to hit the beaches of Vieques!!)  ... I have dropped off the latest house guests:  Banks, Lynn and Raisa, Jen.. and they are all on their way back to DC.  Old friends, new friends ... just a wonderful time.  One of the best quotes of the time spent "is there an alcohol lounge on the slopes?"  This is what happens when the Russian mafia comes to north Idaho!

Here are multiples of the "blue bird powder day" this past Monday ... spent the afternoon skiing / tearing up the pow-pow with Papa French.  Awesomeness.

Papa French down Australia!

Floating on the clouds .. Winter heaven!

It's unclear what he is pointing at - but the cloud wrap turned out to be way cool

A look down Great Escape / Divide

Dad and I .. soaking up the sun, burning through the powder

The infamous Chair 6 ... aka Snow Ghost

Man-made moguls ... sweet, sweet skiers (go away snow boarders!!)

All day skiing on Chair 6 = leg cramps and the best tasting beer - EVER!

Schweitzer ....

And it's one of the most epic ski seasons at Schweitzer .... another fun week with loved ones!

A few shots of the past weekend ... with more to follow after I find my adapter for my camera.  Shocker I know.

This is Mark and I ... after a few beers at Eichardt's and walking back to Seasons and Jill & the bebes.

A shot from Stella's Run on the backside of Schweitzer

The girls from DC (Jen, Raisa - my new favorite Russian, Lynn, Banksie and me)

Sandpoint sunrise ... now where did January go?

Another stellar weekend in Sandpoint ... wine tasting and general debauchery at Coldwater Creek wine bar on Friday.. movies and couch time on Saturday, skiing on Sunday.. cabin living, more wine tasting, steaks and Woods Monday and Tuesday... the flight from Sandpoint to Spokane and back was just stunning to see the world from 8-9,000 feet in the air and be a co-pilot on the way home... And now back to the grind... but not before another gorgeous sunrise here on the lake!  Ski time with Dad tomorrow and one day closer to the weekend!  Superbowl Sunday said what?!  And now I'm wondering why does my calendar say 1 February?  Already....
