Mona makes me smile

I have finally got one of my paintings from Bali back --

Firstly, Shanna Thompson at Thompson Framing in Priest River is AMAZE.  So talented and thoroughly thinks through the project... with this framing - she chose a more curved frame to coincide with the curves of Mona Lisa (age 12).  The thin metalic-like interior lining brings it all together.  Okay - enough of the details...

Mona makes me smile so big - every time I walk by her (up the stairs, down the stairs or just sitting in the living area).  I fondly call her Chubby Mona Lisa but technically, it is a painting of Bortero's Mona Lisa, age 12 (the 2nd version done in 1977).  The original was not available as it hangs in MoMA (NYC).

This was Mona pre-hanging (it's crunch time to finish hanging things before everyone arrives this afternoon - procrastination said "what??")

And after she has been hung up (I have no idea why I cannot rotate the picture - so work on those neck flexibility exercises gentle readers!
